Top Summer Energy Saving Tips

Here at Clearview, we like to advise our loyal customer base on how they can save themselves some money all year round.

Now, considering summer is just around the corner, we’ve got some great tips to help you to save some money in the coming hot, summer months.

Light Bulbs

They cost a bit more initially but they’ll be great energy savers in the long run compared to normal light bulbs. Not only will they be great energy savers, they also emit a brighter light than normal light bulbs too.

Heating

Not that a lot of people will turn their heating on in summer but, if for some reason you find it necessary to immerse yourself in yet more heat, if you turn your thermostat down by just 1^oC, you could save yourself up to £65 per year.

Water

Hot water can, on average make up to 10% of an average energy bill. If you have a hot water tank then lowering the temperature on it to 60^oC could reduce your heating costs and also still be hot enough to kill harmful bacteria.
