How To Create The Feeling Of Summer Inside Of Your Property
It’s been a lovely start to June and we sincerely hope that the fine weather will stay with us throughout the duration of the summer.
You will know yourself that exposure to weather of this kind makes you feel good and gives you that extra bit of energy that you maybe lack during the dark winter season.
Doctors will also tell you that it’s great for your mind, as well as your body. So, do whatever you can to lure that summer sunshine into your home over the coming months, whilst it lasts.
Exactly how you do that is pretty simple:
Clean your windows
Start by making sure that the glass in all of your windows is completely clean and streak-free. If you don’t fancy climbing a ladder to clean them yourself, you can always call in the local window cleaner to do it.
Fully open your curtains too. Any thick, bulky curtains should be removed for the summer so they don’t block out any light, exchanged for thinner, lighter coverings.
Too hot in the house during heatwaves? Get new windows installed with energy efficient glass.
Install bi-folding doors
When open or shut, bi-folding doors will transport an immense amount of light into your living space.
The various door leafs have a very large expanse of glass, giving you a broad glazed wall when closed, and the vast opening they generate when ajar, will provide the sun with a huge passage to enter.
A bi-folding door can also be used to let lots of fresh air indoors to keep a room nicely ventilated in warm conditions.
Add some nature
If you don’t have a garden, and you live too far away from a park to get amongst nature, houseplants are a great solution for that.
They will add a feel of nature to your interiors when you put them on display on countertops, floors and tables, and the most popular form of houseplants tend to be succulents, ferns and orchids.
Did you know that houseplants also offer health benefits? It’s true! Not only will they reduce your stress levels, but they’ll also purify the air by getting rid of air pollutants.
