Add a festive touch to your fireplace
The Christmas tree can sometimes get all of the attention, but to create the ultimate warm and cosy atmosphere in your home, you can also dress up your fireplace for the occasion.
Wreaths aren’t just for your front door at Christmas! One of the hottest trends this year is to hang a wreath to the wall above your fireplace.
Amidst the foliage you have placed around your fireplace, you can also use neon lighting to spell out a message full of festive cheer, such as ‘’Tis the season’ or ‘Merry Christmas’.
Use empty wine bottles, jars and fairy lights as decor
Whether you’re hosting a pre-Christmas party or a low-key cheese and wine night with close friends, you’re likely to accumulate a few empty wine bottles and jars.
Turn those used bottles and jars into festive decor by removing the label, cleaning inside and drilling a hole in the bottom of them. You can then place fairy lights inside (we suggest red, green or white coloured lights) and display them on window sills and tables.
If you’d rather spend your time wrapping presents and dancing to Christmas music, you can purchase bottles with fairy lights already inside.
