Panasonic Viera TX-P50VT65
So, the second Panasonic in the list, it seems there’s a theme here… well, this 50-inch offering from the Japanese firm is a brilliant TV.
The picture of this TV, according to a number of reviews, in both 3D and 2D is brilliant. On top of the excellent picture, it’s a smart TV so you get all of your smart Panasonic Viera apps as standard and a smartphone app enables you to tweak picture parameters without even touching the remote control. Plus, you get HD Freeview and HD Freesat as standard.
You can pick this television up for around £1499 from certain retailers.
Samsung UE55F8000
This is Samsung’s flagship TV and with the Ultra HD offering, it packs an almighty punch. The bezel on this television is the thinnest ever at under half a centimetre across and it comes complete with a quad –core processor. This TV is the ultimate watching machine.
The TV also has a ‘Cinema Black’ feature which separately dims the sections of panel underneath the black bars that are seen above and below 21:9 ratio films. This is what you call attention to detail and this is a top, top TV. It’s available from certain retailers for as low as £1698.
